There are hundreds of fantasy sex toy shops out there carrying everything from dragon dildos to werewolf masturbators; it can be hard to keep up if you don’t know where to look. There is no single news source that will keep you up-to-date on new products, inventory drops/restocks, and sales, and with Etsy no longer being a viable platform, it’s not as easy to find quality indie toys.
With a few key resources, however, you can get updates from most of your favorite brands, helping you snap up that shiny new toy, get a discount, or—if you’re very lucky—win a giveaway. Most of these brands are small businesses and they could really use the support right now, whether it’s a purchase or sharing their posts on social media.
Where to Find Updates
Bluesky
Many brands have recently switched to Bluesky as their primary social media platform. The Fantasy & Indie Sex Toy Makers Starter Pack is a list of fantasy and indie brands on Bluesky to follow, so you can check out all their updates as they’re posted. It even includes a nifty “Follow All” button.
Discord
A few makers run their own Discord servers, some of which are just for announcements while others have active communities. List of Shop-Specific Discords
Newsletters
If a brand has ever caught your eye, I highly recommend signing up for their newsletter! Many sites include a newsletter signup somewhere on their homepage. This will deliver information straight to your inbox, keeping you up-to-date with restock information, exclusive sales, and more, without ever having to worry about signing up for a new social media platform.
X/Twitter
The Indie Toy Makers Twitter List includes many indie brands, putting all of their posts into a single feed. Many brands are migrating from X/Twitter to Bluesky in the wake of rising toxicity, platform-endorsed data-scraping for generative AI, and declining functionality; while many are still active on X/Twitter right now, that may not be the case for some brands.
Additional Information
Fantasy sex toy makers post across a number of platforms, but the above are pretty reliable ways to keep up with most brands that I know of.
