Review: Kraken Monster Lab Heinous Penis & Angelous Phallus Fantasy Dildos

Heinous Penis and Angelous Phallus from Kraken Monster Lab showcase the creativity and ingenuity of indie fantasy dildos. Both designs are gorgeous works of art with magnificent mobile wings at the base.

Design & Specs

Heinous features demonic wings, spikes, and ridged texture, while Angelous is the angelic counterpart with a slimmer humanoid profile and less prominent texture. Both come in a single size, with the models originally sculpted in clay instead of 3D printed like most models on the market. The sizes are comparable to many medium size dildos on the market, with a maximum girth of about 5.9″ circumference/1.8″ diameter (Angelous) and 6.6″ circumference/2.1″ diameter (Heinous). Mine are both medium firmness 00-50 and were made with my choice of custom colors. The wings are very flexible, allowing them to flap, and they can be tucked alongside the shaft for easy storage.

For Heinous, I chose a gold highlight over a marble of light and dark purple, with an example of a previous pour with those colors. While the example I provided was royal purple, the first pour result ended up much more mauve/pinkish than I was expecting. Since it was flopped for quality reasons and was being repoured anyway, I requested a color adjustment for the repour, resulting in the one I now have. The highlight was very strong on the first and very subtle on the repour, making for a faint gold shimmer on top of the purple.

For Angelous, I requested silver, pastel pink, pastel blue, pale pink, and pale blue. The silver came through—and it’s spectacularly sparkly—but instead of two pastel and two pale colors, the outcome included two pastel colors and two bold colors. KML acknowledged this was off-target and offered to repour, but I declined because I liked it anyway.

The colors I sent for Angelous

In both cases, I intentionally picked colors that would look good even if they blended together or otherwise did not turn out quite as expected, a strategy I use with any shop when I don’t know how consistent their custom pours are. Pastels and pale colors in particular can be difficult for some makers to achieve. While I think Kraken Monster Lab missed the mark with color accuracy, I appreciate that they offered to attempt a repour; that is what I would expect for a pour with this much deviation from the planned colors.

Both of my packages arrived in plain boxes with black and green tissue paper inside, a Specimen 69 sticker holding it together. They were sealed in plastic bags and came with their own large branded drawstring bags, squishies, stickers, care cards, and chocolates. A single bag can easily hold both Angelous and Heinous with enough room for a third dildo of the same size.

Heinous Penis starts at $165 AUD ($112 USD) and Angelous Phallus starts at $210 AUD ($143 USD). (Scroll to the bottom of this post for a discount code.)

Wings and Bases

The wings are a fun novelty and beautifully crafted, along with all the other details of these models. As far as uniqueness and art go, they’re stellar. Kraken Monster Lab entered the scene with their winged suction cups—another pair of angels and demons—and it’s cool to see them incorporated directly into toy models.

The wings are very flexible and the flapping is delightful. While I don’t pay too much attention to it, that kind of tapping against thighs/butt/labia could bother some people, but the fun may outweigh the annoyance.

The round bases for both dildos are difficult to hold. They’re very thin, so there’s almost no leverage unless holding with two hands, and even then all the force comes from my fingers against the center of the base. Pushing is viable but puts pressure on my fingers. Pulling out is harder because I have to rely on the thin base. When I’m thrusting, I generally need to grab the wings as well as the base to get more leverage, unless I use a handle.

In Use (Heinous Penis) (Vaginal)

Heinous Penis is nice and thick. I’m a big fan of the girthy, filling size, and texture is always a plus for me.

The texture on the top side is strong. It’s a ribbed, bumpy ride, like Pleasure Forge Bone Devil or Magic Within Mercio. It’s the kind of bumpy cadence like when sawing something—Which isn’t bad! It’s intense. The texture is large enough to give a constant, strong stimulation against my front wall, without being so strong as to cause discomfort. It scratches the itch for strong texture in a way that many of my toys are too gentle to do, and the texture isn’t so small that it gives a “sandpaper” sensation.

The curve doesn’t work for G-spot stim (even when I specifically try angling it that way) and it’s too short for A-spot stim, so it’s all size and texture for me.

When thrusting, the ribbed texture from the portion of the shaft that’s outside my body rubs against my clit. It’s not the best angle for clit stim, and it definitely helps that I have growth from T, but it’s a nice little bonus.

The underside is nice and smooth in comparison. When turned around, I still get pressure against my front wall from the thickness of it. It locks in once I’m past the swell, to the point I can literally stand without it falling out. I enjoy shallow thrusts from that angle, but if I push it in all the way, it’s difficult to pull out again due to the base thinness, so continuous smooth thrusting doesn’t work out.

On some toys, I find too much texture to be irritating, but the textured side of Heinous does not aggravate my back wall when turned around.

I was worried about the large spikes poking me, but I hardly notice them. They hug the curve of my labia or butt instead of poking into me. My clit also fits between the spikes, offering some stimulation on either side, but not a lot.

In Use (Angelous) (Vaginal)

Angelous Phallus features a familiar humanoid shape which I enjoy quite a lot.

Angelous’ round base, like Heinous’, is thin and not very feasible for thrusting. I have to grip the bases of the wings to get a good grasp on the top end. The balls are easy to hold, and since Angelous is thinner and has no swell, there’s far less strain on my fingers when thrusting than with Heinous. However, when riding, it stays in place well enough since it’s well-balanced, and holding the base down if needed is not an issue.

The original was sculpted from clay, as evidenced by the markings along the smooth portions of the shaft. The tight marbling of the pour hides this detail, making it look completely smooth unless looking closely, but the slight roughness adds friction and makes the ride more intense.

The delicate decoration on the bottom half of the shaft is much stronger than it looks. The way the texture is raised without a smooth slope makes it stand out strongly. I was worried Angelous could be too low-texture for me, but the texture level is just right, and when fully inserted, it rubs against my front wall very nicely. When thrusting, I can sometimes rub the lower texture against myself externally. However, this is not very convenient and I don’t use it this way often.

The shape ticks a lot of my boxes: A gentle curve, filling shaft (just a tad thinner than my usual preferences), and notable head. I can get constant G-spot pressure from the head and the underside of the curve, with lots of front wall stimulation.

The head is strong and has a gentle pop going in and out. The curve of the coronal ridge is comfortably smooth, but it features texture on the top: a vulva sculpted in the center of the head. That makes for some good textured G-spot stimulation, and honestly, it’s just a really neat little detail.

Overall

Both models are gorgeous with unique wings. I love the texture, the sizes are right for me, and medium firmness 00-50 was the right choice to suit my preferences.

Angelous Phallus is my favorite of the angel/demon pair and easier to use than Heinous, with texture that is stronger than it looks. For Heinous Penis, I would have liked to see less of a swell for easier thrusting to take advantage of that great texture, but as far as the swell itself goes, it locks in very well. Both models would have been easier to use with a thicker base.

They’re both nice in use, so for anyone looking for a winged dildo (or anyone who likes the look of the designs), I would definitely recommend them if you enjoy texture and if the thin bases won’t be too much of a drawback. If you just like the wings, I would suggest checking out Kraken Monster Lab’s winged suction cups instead, which can be attached to any toy whose base is at least 2.1″ across.
